Studying & More

One of the many things that’s been going on in my life is the studying for Sunday School teacher certification.

Every month, our Sunday School department meets and holds a test for each chapter that we’ve had to study (usually 2), and we also discuss any questions, or points of interest.

I must say, that I’m so very glad to be a Sunday School teacher.  I really love Jesus and want to please him more, but circumstances always try to distract, and Sunday School has been my one constant.  It forces me to be more in tune every week, and I really need that.

Sometimes, things we think we might never like, or want to lay down, become the things that draw us closer.

  1. I came across a wordpress site from Google looking for some Sunday School resources and such. And I found your site on it (not knowing it was your site) — at first I was like…the title: My Life in General seems familiar. I scrolled down and skimmed some of the posts, realizing you were who I thought you were =).

I haven’t really heard of studying for a Sunday School teaching certification. My church basically trains you for a year and then after that you can teach =). I have sent my request in — and am eagerly waiting an approval. There are a lot of great resources for Sunday School online. Some free ones (Calvary Chapel) and some not-so-free ones (Lifeway).

May God bless you and your wife as you both serve Him in this ministry!

  2. Wow, it’s been a long time :)

We’re part of a smaller church, and this is the first time any certification of any sorts has been used, so it’s new for all of us.

Thanks for the resources and the blessing!
